Hi guys, Wormy here, the creator of CND. I am working on a new game, it is a long term project and you can watch its progress here on this blog:

The blog will be about a few things. First off it will be about developing the new game, which is an RPG. Second, it will be about programming from the perspective of someone who has little time or professional ability. Thirdly, it will be about random shit. smiley for :)

I nearly fainted when I saw this.

1. Will it be online, or have an online mode?
2. Will there be quests that earn you exp/coins when you complete them.
3. If there is an online mode, will there be PVP?
4. Will there be titles you can earn by completeing certain quests?

I hope there would be 3 kinds of mode: one Single-Player and 2 kinds of Multi-Players.

Mode 1: Single Player: Standard game where you follow a story, earn EXP, do quests, and stuff like that.
Mode 2: Dragon Quest IX-like Multiplayer: Someone sends invitations to their world, people interested would go into a multiplayer option at the title screen. When clicking it there would be a list of people's servers that you could join. Maybe being able to set a limit could be good. You would use your single-player characters. Hosts should be able to kick or reject people who want to come.
Mode 3: Classical Multiplayer: When you would choose the multiplayer option, the first server option should be default server/world. This one would include different maps than the classical singleplayer/other multiplayer mode and should have special shops, houses, and a colloseum/PVP arena.

I meant to say that if it's multiplayer and like 7 people are playing together in a turn-based battle, it would take too long compared to action, but turn-based would probably fit better in single-player mode.

I guess I exaggerated, though I have played dragon quest IX multiplayer before.

So maybe the limit for multiplayer battles could be 2-5 players instead of higher numbers, like I said.

I think that it should be okay if the limit isn't too big, nut I agree about the huge limit=huge inactivity. Having played it, you know it works. Inactive players should return to the servers lobby after 5 minutes of inactivity?

Thanks for the ideas guys, they are all very interesting. I don't have a specific direction for the game yet, and am making it up as I go along.

Right now I have a lot of other projects going on both programming and non-programming. I have been programming a lot the last couple days but sadly I am broke so I am working on a small business website to make some $$, http://suncityvision.com/
