I planned to do a FE hack with people here as Playable Characters some time in the future coughcoughwheni'llhavethesoftwareandthetimeforitcoughcough
If you would want to be in it, you'll have to fill the following formula:

Explanation:
Name:
Name of character
Gender:
Male or Female
Month of Birth:
Your month of Birth. This will determine you affinity and your support bonuses.
Class:
The class in which you'll start in. Here's the list of classes:

Can't choose ennemy-only classes (unless you want to be ennemy (except soldier and Bandit)), lords or Archsage.
Base level:
The level in which you'll start in. Max level is 20.
Recruit way:
The way you'll be recruited. Here's the ways: Automatically, by visiting a village, recruited from an allied army,
Base Stats:
The stats with which you start with. Here's how it'll work:
1) Take those base stats:

2) Add 2 points in any stat
3) Add 3 point for each 2 levels (1 for first and 2 for next)
Growths%:
The % that a stat can go up. The growth total must be 330 for non-promoted and 250 for promoted classes.

FE hack? It's a fire emblem game modified by what we call hacking. We modify data of playable characters, story, other texts, weapons, ennemies and other items.

No but you'll have less potential than if you'd start as cavalier. If you want to experience it first I'd say to get one of the american released games:
FE7 (Fire Emblem or Fire Emblem Blazing Sword)
FE8 (Fire Emblem: The sacred stones
FE9 (Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)
FE10 (Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn0
FE11 (Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon)
Shadow Dragon is considered the worst but is 10$ in USA or get one of them via ROM and VBA or No$GBA.
